OUR VISION
The Vision for New Destiny International Church is to be a place of revival where people are transformed, empowered, and restored. We desire to be a cross-denominational, multi-curltural body that is touching this region and the nations. New Destiny Church went international in 2006, bringing churches, pastors, and ministries under their covering from Africa and Haiti, which has started a stream that is now turned into a River. New Destiny Church & Congregation are the Hand's of Christ extended through weekly & monthly ministries & outreaches that is offering hope & healing to not only the lost, broken & forgotten of our city but to the righteous remnant of God that live here.
OUR HISTORY
The following explains our Past, Present & Future- It begins with Rev. Alexander Austin who pastored the Church of God on 9th Street & 16th Ave in the 1950's pioneering the way for a move of God's Spirit in the Saint Petersburg area. Now having received his eternal reward his calling & vision is carried on still today through his grandchildren's ministry in this same city.Having come to Saint Petersburg in 1986 after graduating from Bible College, Pastors Deon & Carmen Lett began their ministry here as Youth Pastors, giving birth to not only their first child here but the birthing of a call, vision & purpose. After moving to Orlando , Florida for 8 years of continued ministry & training they returned to the Tampa Bay area to become Senior Pastors for the first time in 1995. Now having pastored for the last 17 years in this area, they are carrying out the Vision which began in the 1950's. After answering the call to birth New Destiny church, a church free from the structure of man made religion, it enabled them to fulfill God given destiny & help continue to usher God's presence into this city.
OUR FUTURE
Today New Destiny has grown to be a church with multiple staff, ministries and churches locally & foreign. Helping support many local & foreign missionaries, with over 40 of its own Ministries, Departments & Outreaches ministering to hundreds weekly. Continuing to be the Church, the Body of Christ, and His Hands extended, meeting the need for such a time as this.
We invite you to come be a part of the Vision, find your place and let God use you to fulfill His Destiny for your life and this His city! Our prayer is that you will come give us a try in one of our real services for real people real soon!
